Smart Tech 3D Printing allows startups to create fast, affordable prototypes to attract investors and set ideas in motion. And due to the highly-customizable nature of 3D printed objects, this new manufacturing process is revolutionizing the way that businesses interact with their customers.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is an additive manufacturing technology that builds parts up layer-by-layer by heating and extruding thermoplastic filament. Ideal for building durable components with complex geometries in nearly any shape and size, FDM is the only 3D printing process that uses materials like ABS, PC-ISO polycarbonate, and ULTEM 9085. With our fast lead times and finishing options, FDM is a smart choice for anything from concept models to production parts.

What is 3D Printing and how does it work?

3D Printing

We are a Seattle based 3D Printing Service, using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) machines to produce accurate, strong, quality parts for all of your rapid prototyping needs. At Smart Tech 3d Printing we have mastered the process of printing in ABS, PLA, HIPS, and other materials. We have short turnaround times and you are guaranteed a great print. We offer users variety and precision. 100 micron layers ensure incredibly detailed, sleek surface features and minor visible print lines. No job is too small, so there is no minimum order. We specialize in time-sensitive projects that need quick turnaround time.

We have an in house professional model finishing team with plenty of experience refining the weird and rough area of parts. Smart Tech Model Finishing is an amazing process, it is rare that a part comes out of the printer looking perfect. Print lines, burrs, and voids in material can make a beautifully designed object look rough and sloppy instead of sleek and well-defined. Smart Tech Model Finishing specialty is precision cleaning and finishing of plastic prints. We have a wide range of surface finishes and colors available so your parts will be showcase ready the moment they leave our doors.

We’ve engineered a dual extruder 3d printer with this concept in mind—a dual extruder that has no limits. Smart Tech Pro 3d printer prints ABS, PLA, nylon, dissolvable filament, and even composite materials such as wood and metal. The extruders can be modified to print flexible and other composite materials that may come out in the future. Our machines are capable of building large parts. Our maximum build area is 48”x48”x40” for single part formats. Larger parts than our available building area will be printed in portions and welded together using our professional plastic welding tools.
